As part of our commitment to innovation, self-reliance, and industry readiness, the Entrepreneurship Development (EDP) Cell at PES’s College of Engineering, Phaltan (affiliated to DBATU, Lonere) is dedicated to nurturing entrepreneurial skills and mindset among students. The EDP Cell serves as a platform to inspire, guide, and support aspiring entrepreneurs by bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world business challenges. Our goal is to foster creativity, leadership, and problem-solving abilities while encouraging students to transform innovative ideas into sustainable startups and enterprises.

Our strategic objectives include:

• Promoting entrepreneurial awareness and startup culture among students through workshops, seminars, and expert talks.
• Organizing entrepreneurship development programs, business plan competitions, and innovation challenges.
• Providing mentorship, guidance, and support for idea validation, business planning, and startup incubation.
• Facilitating interactions with successful entrepreneurs, industry experts, and startup ecosystems.
• Encouraging students to pursue self-employment and entrepreneurial careers as viable professional options.
• Collaborating with government agencies, incubation centers, and financial institutions to support student startups.

Through these initiatives, the EDP Cell aims to cultivate a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem within the institution and empower students to become job creators rather than job seekers.
