As part of our commitment to equity, inclusiveness, and social justice, the Equal Opportunity Cell at PES’s College of Engineering, Phaltan (affiliated to DBATU, Lonere) works to ensure a supportive and discrimination-free academic environment for all students and staff. The Cell is dedicated to promoting equal access to educational opportunities, resources, and institutional support, especially for students from socially and economically disadvantaged sections. Our goal is to uphold the principles of fairness, dignity, and respect while empowering individuals to overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.

Our strategic objectives include:

• Promoting entrepreneurial awareness and startup culture among students through workshops, seminars, and expert talks.
• Organizing entrepreneurship development programs, business plan competitions, and innovation challenges.
• Providing mentorship, guidance, and support for idea validation, business planning, and startup incubation.
• Facilitating interactions with successful entrepreneurs, industry experts, and startup ecosystems.
• Encouraging students to pursue self-employment and entrepreneurial careers as viable professional options.
• Collaborating with government agencies, incubation centers, and financial institutions to support student startups.

Through these initiatives, the EDP Cell aims to cultivate a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem within the institution and empower students to become job creators rather than job seekers.
