Aims of the Internal Complaint Committee

The Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) at PES's College of Engineering, Phaltan is dedicated to ensuring a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors by addressing complaints related to sexual harassment, misconduct, or any form of discrimination. The committee’s primary aim is to provide a formal, transparent, and supportive process for individuals to report incidents of inappropriate behavior and ensure that grievances are handled with the utmost confidentiality, sensitivity, and fairness.

Objectives of the Internal Complaint Committee

1. To create and maintain a safe and harassment-free environment for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors, ensuring that everyone feels respected and valued.
2. To ensure that all complaints related to sexual harassment, discrimination, and any form of misconduct are handled with fairness, irrespective of the complainant's gender, caste, ethnicity, or position.
3. To provide a secure and confidential channel for individuals to report complaints of harassment or misconduct, ensuring that their identity and personal details are protected throughout the process.
4. To ensure that all complaints are investigated in a fair, unbiased, and transparent manner, adhering to institutional guidelines and the legal framework governing sexual harassment and discrimination.
5. To promote gender sensitivity, awareness, and respect for individual rights across the institution, organizing workshops, training sessions, and seminars that educate the community on sexual harassment, gender equality, and the importance of mutual respect.
